I’m just going to go ahead and call this project my triple threat. It has cardstock, it has adhesive vinyl, and it has sketch pen art! This Amore Bunting I created is so simple to make that I had it done in 10 minutes flat (even despite using 3 different specialty materials).
The bunting pennant is of course, made of cardstock. The letters to the word “Amore” are done in silver vinyl in the font “Zamrud Khatulistiwa“.
The caboose pennant is the sketch art of 2 swirl heart topiaries (which was a free design last year around this time but is still available in the online store if you want it).
That kind of detail you just simply can’t get with vinyl alone. Look at those swirls! One of the many perks to having the Designer Edition of the Silhouette software is of course, the added “sketch” feature. You can benefit from the sketch pens with out the upgraded software, but with it you can take an image or design and add a specific stroke to it. I actually didn’t realize how much I use the upgraded features until I went to my mom’s to help her with a project and felt tied down to how I could customize what she was working on. It’s fair to say I use the knife and eraser tools every time I use my machine. But the biggest deal breaker for me is the ability to use my own image in addition to anything I find in the Silhouette store. If you’ve been contemplating the upgrade, now is your moment. Now through February 14th you can upgrade to the Designer Edition software at a discount of 40% off. For those of you without a Silhouette yet…. here’s an awesome deal you can nudge your special someone towards for Valentine’s Day:
