Beaded Book Mark

My mom came to visit for a week and bought a couple books for her plane ride home. She had mentioned that her favorite book mark she ever owned was a Beaded Book Mark made of ribbon. It fits nicely between pages and has pretty beads dangling out the bottom. She had said she always has a hard time finding them, so we thought we’d venture out to make our own.

We headed Hobby Lobby where we found Curtain Tassels on clearance and matching ribbon.

Here’s how we do:
Cut your ribbon to 2 inches longer than your book is long. We hand stitched one tassel to the bottom and covered stitching with a cute bow:

Using the 2nd tassel that was sold with it, we cut some of the beads off and tied them to the top of our ribbon.
