Bunny Tails

This post was originally seen on Somewhat Simple as a silhouette promotional post. As a contributor to Somewhat Simple, I am able to share my creations with my readers as well.

Today, not only am I sharing my Bunny Tails cookie recipe, but I get to my baggie topper I made to match. My Bunny Tails treat idea is so cute and easy, it took less than 30 minutes to do all of it:
Bunny Tails

I’ve called these cookies “Bunny Tails” because they are round and fluffy! The recipe is incredibly easy and uses only 6 ingredients.
Ingredients For Bunny Tails:
1 cup Butter, softened
1 cup Powdered Sugar (plus some for rolling)
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/4 cup Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts (I use walnuts)

Preheat oven to 375*. Mix butter, sugar and vanilla together. Blend in flour & salt. Stir in nuts. Using your hands, roll into 1 inch balls. Place on non-greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven, while still warm roll each ball in powdered sugar. Let cool before packaging.

Do you like my topper? I love using a baggie topper for little hand outs or treats like my Bunny Tail cookies. This one was incredibly easy. I actually used a place card design from the Silhouette store and stretched it out big to fit my baggie. The design I used was ID# 17331 by Pebbles In My Pocket. I did my own bunny face (whiskers, mouth and eyes) and created my own name tag using the font “Wildflower” by QuicKutz Portfolio (remember when they made those? Waaaay back in 2008 era of Silhouette). This little treat is perfect to send home with your class/day care or bring in to your teacher’s before spring break!
