DIY Fry Boxes

14 Feb

Before I had purchased my craft cutter, I envied people who could whip up a cute treat box out of nothing. Now, thanks to this month’s freebie from My Memories Suite, you don’t have to own a fancy craft cutter to make a cute Fry Box for candy hand outs. Today through February 25th My Memories is giving away 3 free digital packages that include the template to make your very own DIY Fry Boxes for treats. As I always mention, you don’t have to be a My Memories Suite software owner to score on the deal- you just have to have a FREE account with their website. Having an account with them is nice because it saves computer space. I can download only what I need and when I need it. It saves my computer from slowing down from so many large files that I don’t even access every day. It is a free download today through February 25th- after which point you can still access the download but it will cost you.

FryBoxCollections

As always, these collections are completely customizeable if you are a My Memories Suite software owner. That means that instead of just being able to download the file as is, you’d be able to import into the software and add your own text or pictures.

Ready to be a My Memories Suite software owner?  My offer still stands- $10 off your software purchase plus $10 store credit to their online collections! Click the image below and add to cart….

Fry Box Tutorial

1. Print your fry box on cardstock and gather supplies.
Be sure to set your margins as close to 0 as possible.
(Recommended supplies: small craft scissors, bone folder, ruler, glue runner)

2. Score along dotted line to inside corner of the box, and from corner to corner at
base along the grey curved line.

3. Use scissors and cut around outside of box.

4. Fold along straight scored lines.

5. Fold along curved scored lines, folding up to a 90 degree angle.

5. Apply glue to the side tabs on both sides of the box.
Apply Glue to the tabs on the printed side.

6. Enjoy your Box! You can fill it with all kinds of goodies or treats.

These downloads come as a digital package which means you can use them for more than just the fry box. You can use the embellishments and page backgrounds for digital scrapbooking as well! Here are the collections:

For the layout only, download here or see embed box below. The quality is not as crisp and clear as it would be if you were to download straight from the My Memories website, but for those of you who don’t like having an account with a million different websites (trust me, I used to be one, I know the feeling) I have provided just a pdf download of the template alone for you.

Again, if you are not a My Memories Suite owner, it’s not too late to score on the great deal I’m offering! $10 off your software purchase! Click the image below and add to cart….
