Gag Gift For Dad

17 Jun

Not all Father’s Day gifts are meant to be sentimental or thoughtful. Sometimes, Dads just need a good laugh. My dad is no exception. Lucky for him, I married a comedian (at least I think so). Last year, I made my dad an apron out of old trousers (see here) because my dad loves to cook… with aprons on (seriously, my dad always wears an apron when in the kitchen. It’s very cute). That apron had heat transfer vinyl decal with a funny saying on it (go check it out). Giving my dad a Gag Gift has become a trademark for my husband.

This year, my hubby thought of another apron idea for my dad for Father’s Day. You can never have too many aprons, you just never know how many helping hands will be in the kitchen! Plus, when one gets dirty one day, you’ll have a back up for the next day. Here is this year’s Gag Gift Apron:

Clever, right? I love how the punch line is not so noticeable. My dad is going to open it today and think “awww” and then continue unfolding the apron and holding it up in front of himself before he notices “semi-finalist”. And then we’re all going to have a good laugh. My dad and husband just love teasing each other like that.
