Halloween Coffin Free Printables

10 Oct

The time has come for more free printables from My Memories Suite! And of course, to go with our upcoming holiday, today’s freebies are Halloween Coffin Free Printables! As in the past, you will now access the freebies through the store instead of as a direct download. This means that if you ever buy a new computer, your computer crashes, or you accidentally delete a file, you will be able to access it in your My Downloads section of your MyMemories Account. You will now have to have a MyMemories account to access the downloads. Accounts are always free, so if you haven’t already signed up I encourage you to do it now. As with ALL of their downloads, you don’t need the software to use their freebies, they offer the “general zip” download from you account as well. You just won’t be able to customize it. If you have any questions about this, please don’t hesitate to ask. It is much less complicated than it sounds. I confuse myself sometimes as I write it out for you, and it truly is simple and FREE.

Today’s Halloween Printable, coffins! …. Okay, I have to be honest. Not only do I dislike Halloween, but to me coffins are totally taking it too far. Why does Halloween have to resemble so much death? I suppose because I have lost loved ones at young ages, it hits too close to a sensitive spot in my heart. Today I will put my big girl panties on and go ahead and post this for you despite it making me slightly uncomfortable.

Here are the samples:

Using MyMemories Software to Customize your Coffins

  1. Download template file and install it into your software
  2. Using MyMemories Suite, choose Create Album From Designer Template and find your project
  3. Now you can print and enjoy the provided template, or customize it with your own papers and embellishments.

TIP:
You can right-click on the white guide and lock it in place to keep it from moving while you are working. Make sure this is the top layer of your project before printing.

Just SAVE and PRINT on cardstock!

Coffin Box Tutorial

1. Print your Coffin Box templates on cardstock and gather supplies.
Be sure to set your margins as close to 0 as possible.
(Recommended supplies: small craft scissors, bone folder, glue runner, ruler)

2. Using the scissors cut along outside edges.

3. Using a bone folder and a ruler, score from each corner to corner, including all inside and outside corners.
There should be a total of 13 score lines.
TIP: Use the tip of a bone folder and trace along the edge of a ruler to create score lines on your project.

4. For this tutorial, the score lines have been outlines in orange to make them easier to see.

5. Use the bone bolder and fold all score lines toward the white side of the paper.

6. Apply glue to all triangular shaped tabs.
There should be a total of 6 tabs.

7. Bring the sides up and apply the tab to the back of the side piece next to it.

8. If using glue and not a glue runner, you can use paper clips to hold the tabs in place while your glue sets and dries.

9. Enjoy your Coffin Box.
TIP: These boxes can be filled with candy, brownies, or any other treat. Also work great as centerpieces or treat boxes.

These boxes are great for treat boxes, centerpieces, decorations, or thank you gifts.

Again, these downloads are MyMemories Suite Compatible.  What does that mean??? It means that you can load it directly into your MyMemories Suite Software, and then completely customize them with any paper and embellishments that you have. If you don’t have the software, you can still download the sample project and the elements, but you will not be able to customize your project.
