I’ve been pretty intrigued lately with some Health and Beauty tips and tricks floating around the web lately. And while I have full intention to testing these theories out, I wanted to post them for you as well. If you have tried any of these before, please tell me how it worked out for you! I am so curious. I’ve collected these on my Tips And Tricks board on pinterest.
First up, I love this idea for traveling especially. How many times have you straightened or curled your hair and had to wait to pack up your things because it took forever to cool down? Solution! DUH! A hot pad. I have no idea why this never occurred to me before!
How about when you drop your compact and it shatters your powdered make up? Don’t throw it away! This little mix can pack it back together tight without compromising the quality of the make up.
This one seems to be very popular on pinterest. I’ve seen it used in drawers, cabinets, and inside make up bags. No more loose bobby pins! Keep them organized with a magnet- duh! I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve frantically searched the bathroom and my purse for a bobby pin.
How about homemade gel ice packs? The kind you can fold and mold around your joints. This recipe seems to have a lot of positive reviews!
Here’s another tip and trick for all you traveling ladies out there (maybe I just can’t get over my recent San Francisco trip so finding these is like gold to me). I hate it when I know I need to bring lotions and they explode upon opening at my destination. I definitely am trying this next time- plastic wrap under the cap!
Let’s be honest, this next one is mostly appealing because they dressed it up with cute paper. A pill bottle on it’s own is so boring! But this is a clever way of storing q-tips when traveling! Or easy to keep in the diaper bag too.
Here’s another one for bobby pins. This one is great for when traveling. Use tic tac bottle to hold a few bobby pins. I remember when they used to sell bobby pins in containers like this. Now I can ever only find them on a strip of cardboard.
This one is getting a little personal, but I totally relate to it so I’m not going to be shy. I hate it when my under wire breaks through my bra! It hurts, it’s annoying, it’s sad to say goodbye to a favorite bra. Now, you can make it last a little longer using some mole skin- which, if you are out and about when the wire pokes through, you can find at most pharmacies or grocery stores!
Ahh, yes. A classic DIY white teeth recipe.
If you have never used Mary Kay’s soft hands scrub, you have not lived. I love that product! I found this recipe to make it at home and I’m super nervous to try it because I just simple don’t want to be disappointed. I love the real stuff, but if I can make it for a fraction of the cost that would be amazing.
After a summer long of flip flops, my feet are usually disgusting. I have been dying to try this. I just keep forgetting to buy Listerine.
I haven’t gotten a splinter in a long time, but I hope not to jinx it by posting this tip for getting splinters out!
Have you tried any of these? Leave me a comment and tell me how it went, and what you would do differently. I’m going to start getting serious about trying these and posting about it.
