I’m 2 Shirt

6 Jun

During the chaos that often occurs when you bring a newborn home, my daughter also turned two! I had high hopes for her birthday party this year. I was going to go all out. I had a theme (Little Einsteins… she’s obsessed), and the funds to go crazy (we had saved up, we even wanted a bounce house). I grossly underestimated the craziness that happens when you’re juggling a new routine. Needless to say, the theme did not happen. What did happen though, was I showed up the morning of her birthday at the local grocer, showed her the choices of cake (she picked butterflies), and bought matching plates and napkins. How creative, right?
Don’t go getting disappointed on me yet! I did get a little crafty that day. I made Joee a shirt to wear for her birthday.

“I’m 2… (what’s your excuse?)”
I bought the shirt from Wal-Mart for $3.88 (I wanted something a little more feminine than a Hanes plain T), they come in many colors. At least at my location. I used heat transfer vinyl in Teal. The font is called Hand Of Sean which you can download free here. The caption bubble is from the Silhouette store and was created by Silhouette, which I purchased for 99 cents.
Now, getting a 2 year old to hold still for a picture of her wearing this new shirt that she just thinks is SO cool… that’s another story….
