DIY Lace Crown Photo Prop

15 Jun

For Roslyn’s 1 month baby pictures, I decided to make a photo prop. Allow me to show you how to make a Lace Crown like this:

Supplies You’ll Need:
Lace
Glossy Accents
Paint
Fine Glitter
Glue

First, I measured my baby’s head.

I wasn’t sure what kind of look I was going for. I knew it would be laid on her crooked, so it needed to be slightly smaller than what would fit around her head. I didn’t know how small I wanted to go though, so I made 3 crowns of different sizes just to test it out. I laid them out on wax paper and completely covered them with my glossy accents:

My glossy accents took about 30 minutes to dry, and I did 2 coats just to be sure it was stiff enough for my liking.

Once I was certain they were completely dry, I glued the ends together (next time though, I think I’ll paint first)…

I choose a metallic gold paint and a really fine flake gold glitter to finish it off

Just paint, and while it is still wet sprinkle glitter then let dry:

And here is your photo prop:
She was not happy we interrupted her dinner for this! 😉
