Easy Fondue Recipe

19 Jan

Back in my college days, we used to host a lot of fondue parties… we didn’t do anything special though, just melted chocolate chips in our small crock pot and fork dipped fruits and pretzels. This year for our work party, I think I’m going to upgrade from my “old school” tradition. Thanks to Oopsey Daisy (loooove this blog) I can be a little more “show off” than melted chocolate chips! She has an easy chocolate fondue recipe that is sure to be a hit! The kids will love it to! Oopsey Daisy: Easy Fondue Recipe
Easy Chocolate Fondue

1 cup chocolate-flavored syrup
7 oz. (1/2 can) sweetened condensed milk
Dash of salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

1. Place chocolate syrup and milk in sauce pan (or in fondue pot on medium setting). Heat and stir on medium-low. Stir in salt. Cook and stir 12-15 minutes.
2. Reduce heat to warm and stir in vanilla.
3. Warm in fondue pot (or small crock pot!) and enjoy!

And also, an insider tip: If you forget to grab those Kabob Sticks for dipping, tooth picks are fun but messy on the fingers. Try sandwich picks, they are little longer than tooth picks and will keep your knuckles and finger tips out of the fondue!
