So, you wanna see more of our Pergola, eh? You asked for it!

You’ve seen me mention before that we are first time home buyers, and newly home buyers at that! We’ve been in our home 6 months now. When we first did a walk through, we loved the clean slate back yardwe had:

Nothing but dirt! We were excited to put our own ideas and creations to work back there. We had never done any landscaping or building of any sort before, but my husband is a genius and loves to learn how to do things himself. Our first major project, pergola!

Try not to judge as the junk started to pile up back there too. The tools are all borrowed from my parents in order to work on our back yard and will soon be returned, and the toys are to keep Miss Joee occupied while we work. Try not to let it distract from the great wood element we have in our backyard now! Pergola!

This week, my husband is working on the deck that goes under it, extending our patio out about 6 feet. Then, and only then, will we finally get rid of the junk you see pictured and get some real outdoor furniture and ambience. I’m excited to start showing you all of those fun and exciting things 🙂
