Printable 3D Stars

12 May

Want to make your own 3D star? These free printables from My Memories are easy, darling, and can be customized for parties or home decor. Each digital package comes with printable designs as well as a blank template so you can use your own scrapbook paper!
Printable 3d Stars

Printable 3D Stars are available in 3 different download packages.
As I always mention, you don’t have to be a My Memories Suite software owner to get this printable- you just have to have an account (free) with their website. Having an account with them is nice because it saves computer space. I can download only what I need and when I need it- delete it when I’m done, and have it always available when I want it again. It saves my computer from slowing down from so many large files that I don’t need to access every day.
REMEMBER- you don’t need a fancy craft cutting machine (i.e. Silhouette, Cricut, Zing, etc) to make these! The printables are so easy all you need are scissors!

When downloading from My Memories, you not only get the pre-made layout for easy print and cutting- you get corresponding digital scrapbook pages and embellishments. You can personalize them using the MyMemories suite software. That means that instead of just being able to download the file as is, you’d be able to import into the software and add your own text or images.

Not a My Memories Suite software owner? I have a special coupon code for My Memories Suite for you. It gets you $10 off your software purchase plus $10 store credit to their online collections! Click the image below and add to cart….

Ready to see how easy it is to print and assemble them?

3D Star Tutorial

1. Print your file on cardstock. You will need a total of 10 points to create a finished star.
Gather necessary supplies.
(Recommended supplies: ruler, scissors, glue, bone folder with pointed tip, stapler, string)
Be sure to set your margins as close to 0 as possible.

2. Using the bone folder score the rounded side on all fold lines. There shoule be 2 fold
lines from the top of the rounded edge to the small notches on each side.

3. Cut out all 10 of your star tips.

4. Fold on the fold lines. Folds can be folded out or in depending on your personal preference.
In this example, the folds will be on the outside, but if you prefer not to see the decorative folds
on the outside, follow the same instructions, only fold the edges down instead of up.

5. Place glue on one of the rounded edges and attach 2 points together.

6. Turn over and staple at the fold line, to reinforce glue.

7. Repeat with 5 points creating a star.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 creating a second star.

9. Apply glue to all 5 points of one star. You do not need glue in the middle part of the star.
Carefully align the tips of the 2 stars and press together.

11. Punch a small hole and hang with string or set out star and Enjoy!.
