Printable Digital Card

27 Jul

I want to give you an example of a card you can make with some of the free digital downloads I offer through MyMemories.com. Yesterday’s download featured a Springtime Collection (remember, you don’t have to own My Memories Suite to use these downloads. The only thing you will not be able to do is customize the download. You will have to take it for what it is). Here is a card that matches the CD Envelope from yesterday- if you missed it, you can click that link and download it to make this same digitally designed card I created.

I am a huge fan of play on words. Candy grams are fun but I am starting to branch out into other foods besides packaged candy. For this one, how about a fruit? I have a friend who is on a very specific diet do to allergies. She basically lives off of fruit and veggies! I thought this card was so fitting for her. Since I could not drop off a chocolate bar to brighten her day, I decided on a melon! Here’s my play on words as well as my how-to:

Digital Card Tutorial

  1. Download design package from yesterday, print your card on cardstock and gather supplies.  (Recommended supplies: craft knife, cutting mat, metal edged ruler, small scissors, glue runner, bone folder)

2. Start with the card and fold on the fold guides in the middle of the page.  You do not need to fold anywhere else for the card, because the rest will be cut off.

3.  With the card folded in half, use the metal edged ruler and craft knife and cut along the bottom edge and the sides.  Cut about ¼” in from the printed edge.  This will make your card slightly smaller than the envelope so it will fit inside.

4.  Now you have a finished card.

The card reads “Sweetest friend… You’re one in a melon”

Still not a My Memories Suite owner? It’s not too late to score on the great deal I’m offering! $10 off your software purchase! Click the image below and add to cart….

This looks very professional. I always failed at making cards and maybe it was the type of paper I was using but after reading your help I won’t be afraid to make more cards from home. Thanks! I’m glad I stumbled on your blog from the made with love Link up!
