Traveling with little ones can be challenging. Aside from the actual action of travel that can difficult, packing can be a challenge as well. It comes down to remembering everything you will need each day for each family member. I’ve created a printable travel organization list to help myself (and hopefully you!) keep a clear mind about what you will need.
The concept is simple:
1) Start by writing out your itinerary. I’ve included 4 days, so if your trip is longer, print another sheet. Write out any major activities you will have each day. Some days might require more than one outfit. For instance, we are going to a wedding but following the temple visit we are going to Disneyland! So be as detailed as you can. What activity will you be doing in the morning, mid day, and evening?
2) Each family member gets their own spot for each day. I will plan my infant’s wardrobe for day 1, day 2, day 3, etc. Next, plan my 1 year old for each day. If a day requires more than one outfit, put each outfit in the open box. Be as detailed as possible- “Blue dress, white shirt, sandals” or “Butterfly onesie, plaid shorts, white sandals, blue headband” etc.
3) Larger lists. The Essentials (i.e. strollers, pillows, pack n’ play, etc). For The Road (i.e. snacks, lap blankets, DVDs, etc.) and finally The Shopping List -things you have to purchase still before you leave (i.e. baby wipes, toiletries, snacks, etc.)
I’ve got a few different designs for you to choose from if you’d like- as well as a plain white one if you are printing from home and want to save ink. I hope this helps you, it really helped me stay focused and with a clear mind so I didn’t have the feeling that I was forgetting anything. Let me know how it works out for you!
