Proverbs 3:5-6

One of my Aunt’s asked me to help her with a vinyl project for my cousin. My cousin’s favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, and my aunt wanted to make her something for her apartment with the scripture on it. I just love it when someone asks me to do a vinyl project for them. I truly do. Vinyl is like, my outlet in an otherwise hectic-mom-of-a-two-year-olds day. I hope the vinyl fad never fades. I will be one sad little girl. Big girls don’t cry, and it would make me cry. Anyway. I had something specific in mind too, something I was waiting to “vinylize”…

Proverbs 3:5-6

The wood plank is actually a kitchen cabinet door. At IKEA in the as-is section, they had stacks of these cabinet doors, in sets of 4, for $1… ONE DOLLAR! Can you believe it? I wasn’t even there, so I have a hard time believing it myself. But my mom picked me up a pack (and one for herself). By the time she told me about it, and I went back, they had raised the price of the packs to $8. Which is still incredibly cheap but having that chance of $1 still in my mouth, I couldn’t fork over $7 (hehe). Don’t you just absolutely love the way it looks framed? And really, it’s just a cabinet door! 🙂

I used white vinyl to contrast the espresso wood door. The fonts I used were:

You did a great job! Such a great deal. I’ve never been to Ikea but I will someday soon!

Wow! One dollar? What an incredible find. I really wish there was an IKEA within driving distance of my hometown.
