Spring Chocolate Baskets

21 Apr

The FACS department at work did the cutest little spring chocolate baskets this year. I had to share them.

1. Using a water balloon or party balloon (depending on the size you want)- blow it up to desired size, and clean the outside. 2. Rub with cooking oil or non-stick spray 3. Dip in melted choclated and set on wax paper to harden (in Fridge) 4. Mid-way through the hardening process, take the corner of cardstock and scratch at edge of chocolate, to create the “broken egg” look. 5. Dye shredded coconut with Green food coloring and sprinkle inside the hardened chocolate 6. Place a marshmellow peep chick 7. Add jelly beans for eggs (or chocolate eggs- or both!)

Adorable! I loved it!

Awesome tute! I have actually been thinking of how I could make a cute little chocolate bowl such as this to serve ice cream. I had never thought of using a balloon…..
