St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes

7 Mar

Do classrooms still have as many holiday parties as I remember having when I was in elementary school? If so, here are St. Patrick’s Day Cupcakes by Spoonful (previously posted on Family Fun but has since been moved- many of the pinterest links are broken because of this. I’ve included the direct link). Make these and take them to school, playgroup, parties or day care! My sister runs a small day care and is always doing cute treats for holidays, I could totally picture her doing something like this. In fact, I’m going to put her on blast right now and suggest it- ALI! Do this with your day care kids… and invite me over to help 🙂

For these Pot of gold and rainbow cupcakes you will need:

  • A cooled cupcake
  • Grass-green frosting
  • Several flavors of Airheads candies (the rainbow)
  • A pot’s worth of gold coins (looks like 3-4 coins per cupcake)

It looks like the rainbow would be a bit difficult but as it turns out, it’s very simple. Spoonful (Family Fun) has the tutorial on this cute little treats- head on over to get the full detail. Click the image to see the tutorial.
