Sweet And Spicy Pork Chops

This is my favorite pork chop recipe. I found it a couple years ago in a library book, but have since lost the name of the book so I have to keep doing it by memory. It is called Sweet And Spicy Pork Chops, and you won’t believe how simple it is to make! It was the first time I learned how to broil- funny huh! I’m so¬†amateur. This recipe is quick (ten minutes or less!) and diabetic friendly.

Sweet And Spicy Pork Chops


Ingredients (the way I do it):

4-5 Pork Chops
Dash of salt and pepper
4 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons onion powder (although I think the original recipe said chopped onion?)
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 – 1 1/2 teaspoon mustard


Line a broiler pan with foil. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper, then lay on foil. Broil on high for 4 minutes. Remove from oven and flip over. Mix remaining ingredients and spread over pork chops. Return to broil for another 5-6 minutes, or until cooked thoroughly. Let stand 2-5 minutes before serving.


And that’s it! I make these all the time, and without fail the leftovers are always in my husband’s lunch for work the next day (wish I could say that about all my dinners!)
