Are you ready to see a $10 garage sale find get new life? I’d love to take full credit for this upcycle bike project, but really all I did was provide my mad Silhouette skills. My brother called me shortly before Christmas and told me my niece had asked Santa for a bike for Christmas but that recently she had been more specific- she wanted a Hello Kitty bike! SPOILER ALERT: Santa isn’t real, so my brother started to sweat. But what he did next was truly genius. You see, my brother has mad skills when it comes to digital design. All he did was take a picture of the stickers that were on the bike when he bought it. On his computer, he took the size and shape of the stickers and created a new outline of Hello Kitty inspired stickers. My sister “Goo Gone”d the current stickers while I took my brother’s newly designed stickers, uploaded them to my Silhouette software, and cut them in white vinyl. Not only did they fit perfectly, it looked like it was meant to be!
Needless to say, my niece was thrilled and so were us adults that worked so hard Christmas Eve to pull it off.
